El Niño "adds fuel to the fire": Wildfires, an unbearable burden on power grids
In recent years, the El Niño phenomenon has continued to intensify, with extreme high temperatures and drought becoming the norm, leading to frequent extreme wildfires worldwide. In China, a large number of overhead transmission lines pass through mountain corridors densely covered with forests. Once surrounding vegetation is ignited, high temperatures will cause conductor annealing and increased sag, and smoke will trigger air insulation breakdown, resulting in line trips and even tower collapses. Traditional manual line patrols "cannot cover all areas", while satellite remote sensing "is too slow" - transmission lines urgently need a pair of "eyes" that can monitor 24 hours a day to nip wildfires in the bud before they start smoking.
TLKS-PMG-DFMountain Fire Prevention Dual-Spectrum Monitoring System: The "Smart Sentinel" for Mountain Corridors
TLKS-PMG-DFMountain Fire Prevention Dual-Spectrum Monitoring System is specially designed for the field operation and maintenance of high-voltage overhead transmission lines. It integrates photoelectric composite temperature measurement, AI intelligent recognition and wireless transmission technology, focusing on mountain corridor wildfires. It can realize automatic detection of environmental heat sources, accurate identification of early fires, and active early warning of abnormal conditions, effectively solving industry problems such as delayed wildfire detection, difficult investigation and untimely disposal.
Working Principle
TLKS-PMG-DFMountain Fire Prevention Dual-Spectrum Monitoring System adopts an integrated hardware architecture, mainly composed of a photoelectric composite temperature measurement sensor unit, an intelligent pan-tilt, high-definition camera equipment, an image acquisition module and a micro-meteorology acquisition unit. Multiple modules work together to achieve all-round intelligent monitoring. The equipment collects environmental data around the line 24 hours a day, and monitors micro-meteorological parameters such as temperature and humidity in real time, providing support for fire condition assessment.
During operation, the equipment scans the monitoring area in full range through photoelectric composite temperature measurement sensor technology, combined with a dedicated AI intelligent recognition algorithm, to automatically distinguish environmental heat sources from fires, and accurately separate normal heat sources from abnormal fire sources. Once an early wildfire is detected, the system independently completes fire judgment and triggers an alarm. It also supports remote real-time video access, efficiently guiding emergency response.
